Meet the Selection Committee
This year’s jury brings together influential figures across the arts, each known for their commitment to artistic excellence and advocacy for women throughout creative industries.
Alison Mosshart is a celebrated musician, artist, and frontwoman of The Kills and The Dead Weather. Mosshart’s creative practice spans both music and visual arts. Her work, known for its expressive energy and raw emotion, has been exhibited internationally.
Charlotte Jansen, esteemed art critic, writer, and curator of the Discover section at Photo London, is recognised for her insightful analysis of contemporary art and attention to underrepresented voices. Jansen has authored two books on photography and contributed to major publications, including The Guardian, The Financial Times, and Elephant Magazine.
Vanessa Raw is known for her paintings of imagined, same-sex, intimate scenes of women. Raw’s work is deeply intuitive, exploring themes of identity, transformation, and the subconscious. Her evocative paintings have gained critical acclaim for their bold, dreamlike compositions.
Virginia Damtsa, respected curator, art dealer, and cultural strategist, returns to Women in Art Fair following the success of last year’s Women’s Cycles. Damtsa has over 30 years of experience in the art world and is renowned for her skilful identification and support of emerging talent. She has worked closely with some of the most innovative artists and globally respected institutions.
